If you want to write:
- Notice how authors use different kinds of words - nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, figures of speech.
- Keep a journal of your experiences. Even the simplest event can be a great subject to write about. Start with something funny that happened to you, or another kind of memory. See my MORE page for some personal experiences I wrote about that were published.
- School is a great place to learn about writing, whether you go to a local school or are home-schooled. Enter writing contests. Your school district may sponsor one.
- Take a writing course or sign up for workshops.
- Here are a few selected publishers to submit your writing. Ask a parent, guardian or teacher to help you evaluate these sites.
